Do Good Networking was born at the beginning of 2019 after Ipswich-based technical agency SimpleClick found and fell for the concept of ethical business networking.
SimpleClick, an Ipswich-based technical agency, were sponsors of I Roll Up My Sleeves (also known as IRUMs), a new and innovative networking concept. Founded in 2016, it was an event which enabled you to make valuable business connections while giving something back to the local community, by “doing good”.
When we heard the news that the IRUMs events would no longer be running, we knew we had to get involved. SimpleClick had been attending the events from the start and knew what incredible value the events brought to the charities and community projects they supported, as well as to its attendees.
We put our heads together and created Do Good Networking... an event once a month where you leave your suits behind, grab a spade or maybe a paintbrush and spend a morning helping out those that need it, with likeminded business people.
Over two years, IRUMs were able to run over 50 events providing over 150 hours of support to charities and projects including Emmaus Suffolk, Field of Dreams Care Farm Thurston and Poppy's Creche hedgehog sanctuary.
Open to any business person from micro-businesses to large corporate organisations, if Do Good Networking sounds like something you need to be a part of then join us at our next event. You can find out what we’re up to and become a Do Gooder.
