Daisy Day Preparation - St Elizabeth Hospice

St Elizabeth Hospice supports people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses in Suffolk. They offer expert care and support to help them and their families and maximise the potential from the time they have left.

The morning started with a coffee and an opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves. This was followed by a brief talk about the support St Elizabeth Hospice offers to the local community before heading out into the Garden area at the hospice which is tended to by volunteers.

The task for the day was to help with washing, sanding and painting 13 wooden wheelbarrows in preparation for September's Daisy Day. The wheelbarrows will be filled with sand, bark and special daisies. Each daisy will represent loved ones who are no longer with us and create a beautiful arrangement along with many others in the walled garden at Holywells Park.
